Meet Ashley from Ad Editorial!
Ashley Daoust is a freelance word worker who loves helping individuals and small businesses polish their words. She offers a wide range of editorial and audio transcription services, which you can learn about at her website. If you've got something that could use an extra eye - the book you're writing late at night, that 'Life on Mars' project proposal you're about to send to NASA, a super-awesome blog you're building, or the grant that will give your nonprofit the traction it needs - Ashley is your gal. And for you knitting-minded designers out there, she's unveiling a new and exciting service - pattern tech editing! If you'd like to learn more about the pattern editing, or about any of her other services, you can contact her at email@example.com.
When she's not busy with all the word stuff, you can usually find her (secretly) reading the book on her husband's night stand, humoring the many whims of the border collie, pulling for the Tar Heels, and/or knitting something for her little family's next generation, which is set to begin right around Christmas!Ashley's graciously offering up a super sweet discount to Minimalist Knitter readers - mention Minimalist Knitter when you submit an inquiry between now and Labor Day, and I'll knock 15% off the quote price.
And her favorite way to beat the summer heat? "Right now I can't keep myself away from the cherry lime-aid 'popsicles' I make with little paper cups and popsicle sticks! What can I say? The baby loves the tart and the sour!"

Hi there — my name is Maggie Whitley and I’m the owner/designer of Gussy Sews. I spend equal time working on my blog and my shop. On my blog you’ll find updates on my handmade shop, tips on how I left my day job 1 year ago to focus on my business, and different prompts/projects that help build a handmade community of inspiration & adventuring.
Interested in what fills the “shelves” of my shop? All sorts of sassy, girlie, colorful accessories: tote bags (3 different sizes), zipped pouches, eReader cases, headbands + more! — all sporting my signature ruffle.I seriously love Maggie's products! And her favorite way to beat the summer heat? playing in the sprinkler! (seriously) :)
I can't wait for you to meet Katie of Je Suis Une Monstre!
Hello my name is Katie, and I am from the UK, but in the winter time I live high up top the French Alpes. I believe in setting yourself impossible tasks and then turning them into a reality - last year my boyfriend and I completed our impossible task of converting a hanging Ford Transit van into a dream home on wheels, and moved to France in it. Now I know anything is possible!
I am a self-taught knitter and crocheter, and my current impossible task is setting up a one-woman Arts & Crafts business, in which I design and produce bespoke handmade scarves and accessories, which are available to buy in my shop. My blog Jesuisunemonstre is where I write about my love of all things Arts & Crafts, DIY and Handmade. You are welcome to come along and follow my adventures, missions, and endless to-do lists!Katie has generously offered a huge discount through her shop to Minimalist Knitter readers! She's offering up 20% off everything in shop for Minimalist Knitter Readers when using code: MINIMAL1STKNITTER until the end of August!
When I asked Katie her favorite way to beat the summer heat, she had this to say: HA! Over here in the UK, in the middle of July, the sky is thick with white and grey clouds, the trees are bending in the wind, and there is not a ray of sun in sight! I'm wrapped up in my thickest knitwear, and wondering why so many people want to live here!

And of course, her favorite way to beat the summer heat: Summers here are scary, it gets to 50degrees C all the time and the only way to beat it is to join it in the pool. My 3 year old is a little duckling and just loves going too so it is the perfect way to spend the day and enjoy being outdoors without getting roasted.
